This year's season starts with a Thursday night game on September 8, 2022 between the Los Angeles Rams and a team to be determined. As you know by now, the regular season now consists of 18 games and the Super Bowl is scheduled for the second Sunday in February. Let's get ready for some football.

SPREADS POOL
This is a weekly pool and the goal is to try and get as many wins as possible based on the point spread. The player with the most wins takes that week's pot. No games will end in a tie as all point spreads will end with a half point. This set up will also apply to the quarterly pool and the overall season pool. The quarterly pool will start with week 2 and end with week 17. Week 18 will not be part of the quarterly pool, but the wins accumulated for that week will count toward the season pool. The Tiebreaker Method seen on the Tiebreakers tab will be used in case two or more players tie for the most wins. Point Spreads will be obtained each week from CBS Sportsline, or other sources.
CONFIDENCE POOL
This is also a weekly pool. Pool members pick the games straight up and must assign a number to each game based on "how sure" you are that your team will win. If you feel very confident about a team, assign the game a higher number. If you are unsure, give the game a lower number. If your team wins, you win the amount of points you assigned to the game. If you lose, you obviously do not collect any points. If the game turns out to be a tie, you collect half of the points you assigned that game. This set up will also apply to the quarterly pool, and the overall season pool. The quarterly pool will start with week 2 and end with week 17. Week 18 will not be part of the quarterly pool, but the points accumulated for that week will count toward the season pool. The Tiebreaker Method seen on the Tiebreaker Tab will be used in case two or more players tie for the most points. Point Spreads are not used in the Confidence Point Pool

SURVIVOR I, SURVIVOR II AND BTL POOLS
Survivor Pool I will run during the regular season. Unlike the other pools, point spreads will not be used to determine winners or losers. The goal is to stay alive as the season progresses. The Tiebreaker Method will be used in case of ties in the standings. The rules for the Survivor Pools are simple:
  1. Each week, you pick a team that you think will win. If your team wins, you keep playing, if they don't, that's one loss, 2 losses and you are out for the ENTIRE Season.
  2. If you miss a week...its a loss. If a game ends in a tie...it's a loss.
  3. The only catch is that once you pick a team, you CANNOT pick that team again for the rest of the season.
  4. You are responsible for making sure you don't pick the same team twice... if you do it is counted as a loss. If you have a loss and you pick a duplicate team, you are eliminated.
  5. You can make your Survivor Pool picks (for Survivor I and Survivor II) on the regular weekly pick sheet. (Unless you are only playing in the Confidence Point Pool)
  6. If you are playing in just the Confidence Point Pool, use the regular picksheet for your survivor picks. Instructions will be provided.
  7. Top prize goes to the last one standing, period.
  8. If the regular season ends, and there are more than one player still playing, the player with the least number of losses, will win the pool. If everyone has the same amount of losses, the pot will be split among the remaining players.
The rules for Survivor II are the same as above except that it starts on Week 5 and you are eliminated after one (1) loss. The Born To Lose (BTL) Pool starts on Week 3 and you pick the losing team. You are eliminated after one (1) loss and there is a separate picksheet for this pool

TIEBREAKERS
Total Points Tiebreaker: This tiebreaker uses the Total Points guess you entered on your picksheet. The player that is closest with their guess to the actual points scored is the winner.

Lowest Number Of Losses Against Tiebreaker: This tiebreaker uses the sum of the losses against a player. The player with the Lowest Number Of Losses against them is the winner.

Lowest Monday Night difference Tiebreaker: This tiebreaker uses the average of the Monday Night Total Points. The player with the Lowest Average is the winner.

Regular Pool: The 1st tiebreaker will use the Total Points method against your Monday Night Total Points entry. There is no second (2nd) tiebreaker for the weekly pool. If still tied, the players will split the prize evenly between them. The tiebreaker for the quarterly and season pool is the Lowest Monday Night Difference and there is no second (2nd) tiebreaker for either of these pools. If still tied, the players will split the prize evenly between them.

Confidence Point Pool: For the weekly pool, the 1st tiebreaker will use the Total Points method against your Monday Night Total Points entry. Should there still be a tie, the 2nd tiebreaker will be the most wins for the week. If still tied, the players will split the prize evenly between them. For the Quarterly and Season Pools, the first tie breaker will be Total Wins and the second 2nd tiebreaker will be the Lowest Monday Night Difference. If still tied, the players will split the prize evenly between them.

Survivor Pool: This tiebreaker will use the Lowest Number Of Losses Against method. Should there still be a tie, the players will split the prize accordingly as outlined above.

Playoff Pool: The 1st (and only) tiebreaker will use the Total Points method against your Superbowl Total Points entry. Should there still be a tie, the players will split the total prize depending on how many players tie. For example, if two players tie for second, then the prize for 2nd and 3rd place will be added and divided among the two players.
